BBRv3 Support

Hello, Community!

According to

https://my.f5.com/manage/s/article/K50411377 BBR is supported on F5 boxes since TMOS 14.1.0

According to

https://github.com/google/bbr BBR version 3 should be used currently

Does someone know which BBR version F5 devices use?

  • Hi Vladimir_Akhmarov ,

The short answer is TMOS currently uses BBRv1 since this is based off Linux Kernel TCP stack.  TMOS BBR implementation does not cover ECN/Loss rates which are part of the BBR v2/v3 descriptions.  However BIG-IP CNF does support BBrv2 article here CNF BBRv2.
