Seeking clarification about support of GTM and route domains

From Manual Chapter: Configuring GTM on a Network with One Route Domain :   "F5 Networks does not support the configuration of route domains on a standalone BIG-IP GTM."   Can anybody explain...

I have since seen Manual Chapter: Configuring GTM on a Network with Multiple Route Domains ( https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_gtm/manuals/product/gtm-implementations-11-1-0/8.html ). It seems that the name of the server one specifies in GTM plays the differentiating role in telling apart virtual servers with the same IP addr but in different route domains.
