Rotate custom logs

Hello,

We have an external monitor configured for writing logs in the next file /var/log/cwi.log We realized this log is not rotating but /var/log/ltm or /var/log/audit are rotating. Do you know what we need for rotating custom logs? Thank you

  • In theory, all files in /var/log are rotated.

    From /etc/cron.daily/logrotate in 12.0.0:

           logrotate enhance
           - remove log files according to the time stamp
           - call logrotate to rotate log files.
           - assume log files reside in /var/log

Maybe the file is too small to require rotation.

You can view and change the logrotate settings with this command:

    tmsh
    edit sys log-rotate all-properties
