Retrieving statistics

Hi,

 

 

I would like to create the custom statistics and through the iControl transfer it to the log server. My question concerns the performance. The connection through the iControl have impact on the BigIp performance ? How many requests per second could be save to querry Big Ip ?

    In the past I've had queries running every 20 seconds pulling stats on about 100-200VIP's, their pools & members, and global stats... That used about 10-15% of a 6400... iControl is pretty heavy... There were also some interesting memory leaks in the past for 9.1.x when pulling lots of information...

     

     

    Some stats are only available via SNMP though... So you're going to need both...
