Response generated on blocked request by OWASP Top 10 Ruleset?

I have applied the F5 OWASP Top 10 ruleset to my AWS WAF and I am trying to test whether it is effectively blocking or not. The tool I am using for testing expects a 403 response when a request is blocked. Is the F5 ruleset generating a 403 when a request is blocked? If not, what is being generated?
