Jun 10, 2009Reports not installing
We have a distributed arch. with reporting running on a sep reporting server. We have successfully installed the F5 MP and application however the reports are not being deployed. I have run the support tool script and it appears that the installer isn't registering our remote reporting install. Has anyone else run into this?

- Dave_Ruddell_79Historic F5 AccountLoad up an Operations Manager Powershell Console and run this command:
((Get-ManagementGroupConnection).ManagementGroup).GetMonitoringReports() | ft "Name"
That should list all of the reports installed in Ops Manager. If it is empty, it means there is a problem with your Reporting Services installation. If the F5 reports don't show up, but all of the others do, this could be a problem.
The reports are part of the management pack file itself, which is located in the C:\Program Files\F5 Networks\Management Pack\ folder as F5_ManagementPack.mp. You can always try manually removing just this mp from Ops Manager and re-importing it to see if the reports pick up (That is all we are doing on our end during Setup).
Oh, and the "Reporting not installed" in the SystemInfo you pasted is in regards to the local machine. I've been meaning to find time to update the script to dump the remote reporting server info as well as the report list like above. - davidstclair_20

I have reports. I run reports all the time and have them scheduled. Just in case I ran the cmdshell command you mention and have valid reports/output; however I have no F5 reports. I tried manually reinstalling the MP yesterday and that didn’t help.
I am do get the following errors in the console (well until I disabled the rule since these alerts were filling my console with red)…
Rule Override Cache Update Failure
Unhandled Exception in Data Source
I haven’t discovered any items yet, as I’m still waiting for my customer with the proper credentials to assist me.
Any other thoughts? My customer is waiting for this MP to see if they should upgrade all the BigIPs to the latest OS, and use this MP to monitor them.
Thank you for the help,
