Nimbostratusremove evaluation license / evaluation module
Hello,
Just wondering if any of you lovely people know how to remove an evaluation module from a bigip 6900 running 10.0.1, or do you let it run down and remove itself?
Also do you know where to get a hold of hotfix 342 for bigip 10.0.1 as it no longer existrs on f5's support website.

if the eval module has been added with an add-on key (not a base reg key) you should be ok to remove it. Otherwise I'd let it run out of its own accord unless you are able to generate a new Base Registration Key for the unit.
It looks like only HF3 and HF4 are available for 10.0.1 now. If you are after a particular fix see if it is in HF4 (link below). f5 are usually pretty good at removing hotfixes that cause more trouble than they're worth so if you're after one that isn't listed, it's likely been removed for a good reason!

Once the evaluation key expires, functionality for that specific module will expire and the existing perpetual licensing scheme (and ongoing operation of your BIG-IP) will continue as previously configured.
Also, I think downloads.f5.com only has the two most recent hotfixes. Newer versions of hotfixes are cumulative and contain all previous CRs that older ones do. If you really need an older hotfix for some reason, you could open a case with F5 Support to request it.
