Reg Upgrading LTM from 9.4.2 to 11.2

Hi team,

 

I have 9.4.2 image on Big IP 1600, I want to upgrade the box to 11.2 to build HA with other box running 11.2. Hence please provide your inputs to upgrade the box and build HA configuration inputs.

    Hi Beneath,

     

    I did the upgradation through Manual Upgrade path and not a clean installation (through DVD)

     

    • 1)Downloaded the 10.2.4 and ISO and md5sums from https://downloads.f5.com
    • 2)Downloaded the 11.2.0
    • 3)Before upgradation, first reactivate the licence as per the procedures
    • 4)made directory (mkdir -p /shared/images) and copied firmware 10.2.4 to this directory
    • 5)Verified MD5 (md5sum BIGIP-10.x.x.iso)
    • 6)issued installation command (image2disk -instslot=HD1.1 -format=volumes BIGIP-10.2.4.577.0.iso)

    Same procedure was continued for upgrading 11.2 also.

     

    Please revert if any inputs required.
