Mar 04, 2014This can be done on LTM using HTTP monitors. If there's a special page to check for status (/amiupordown.html for example), you can tailor your HTTP monitor receive string to determine whether to mark the node up or down based on the content of the page.
This will allow the farm admin to control which server to activate with no changes required on the LTM.
