Proxy buffer low and high

We need to set up a proxy on the F5 which will collect an http post message (whole content) before opening up a server side connection.

I am not sure if adjusting the proxy buffer low and high settings will help, since we need to collect the whole payload before opening up a serverside connection, my question is does the http:collect functions collect all the data before opening a server side connection?

thanks

  • Generally speaking, HTTP::collect *should* collect all of the payload before establishing a server side connection, but then I think it also depends on how much data you're talking about. A v9 or v10 can only store about 4mb of payload data, while v11 can store up to 32mb. Do you think the payload will ever exceed 32mb? I'd also be VERY worried about performance if collecting multi-MB payloads on every client request.
