Priority Activation settings
I have two servers in a pool and would like to keep them both active, but only one serving content. Looking at priority activation what value should I assign the server I'd like active, and what value should I assign the standby server? I'd like to use priority activation, but I'm reading some conflicting information.
This link has the https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/manuals/product/bigip9_0config/ConfigGuide9_0-05-1.html?sr=21677890
It says the highest priority is (1) Connections are first distributed to all pool members with priority 1 (the highest priority group). If fewer than two priority 1 members are available, traffic is directed to the priority 2 members as well.
The help menu has the higher the priority value (3) has the priority The higher the number, the higher the priority, so a member with a priority of 3 has higher priority than a member with a priority of 1.
So which is it, if I have two servers? 2 for active 0 for stanby

The higher priority number will take traffic first. That manual is for a much older code-level, so the feature may have changed since then. check out: https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/manuals/product/ltm-concepts-11-5-1/5.html
