port 6699 does not seem to be working on a node in a HA PAIR The LTM is 11.5
One node in an LTM HA pair does not seem to be able to communicate via port 6699. I demonstrated this by doing a netstat -pan | grep -E 6699 . Also telnet to port 6699 does not work.
Any ideas?

Hi mate!
Have you checked the settings of the self ips you use for this purpose. You need to allow 6699 (default setting on v11 is allow none).

I did Check this... allow all is set.
Thanks though. I was able to get this up and almost running. I had to rebuild the MCPD database. The standby node shows Online; Blue and I will have to work through this...

hi,
same issue here. telnet in one direction to 6699 is fine.
But in the other direction, i get a conncetion refused.
running 11.5.2. Ping to both IP works. Port lockdown is allow all.
any idea ?
what do you mean you had to rebuild the mcpd database ?

There is a solution article on AskF5 regarding this: https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/13000/000/sol13030.html
There are just two comands involved, performed at the CLI:
touch /service/mcpd/forceload reboot
Another idea: From a network perspective do you have a firewall that might be filtering out packets?
Are there any errors in the /var/log/ltm?
