planning to use only internal IP address
Hi guys I’m new on the F5, I want to know if on my F5 I don’t use External IP address instead I use only internal IP address and Nat them on the firewall to outside.
Hi,
You are not forced to have an internal and an external self ip address. You can just have one Self IP to handle internal and external traffic. This is known as One arm (or one-IP) deployment :

You can use the F5 behind firewall NAT and thats absolutely no problem.
What are the modules using and whats the configuration you want to achieve?

As long as you have the right routing and other relevant network configuration, you can use RFC1918 IP address space on the F5. In fact, most IP address space that we use on the F5 (Self IP, Pool Members, VIP etc) are private IP address.

- On the wizard, you should select advanced network to bypass the traditionnal internal, external and ha requirements.
