Mar 16, 2012Persistence Records and Cookie Insert
Hi,
I do not see persistence records when configuring Cookie Method "HTTP Cookie Insert" (regardless of setting session or timer), and do see them with "Cookie Hash" and "Source Address " persistence.
I searched the usual locations and cannot locate an explanation. Does the group here have an explanation?
Thanks

Hi,
The advantage to using cookie insert persistence is that the cookie is the persistence record. LTM doesn't need to maintain a record in its memory as the client is responsible for providing the cookie which has an encoding of the pool member IP:port.
