Order of Precedence for VS, SNAT and NFVS
Hi Dev team, i have a concerns about this that i was reading and i am not really understanding the logic behind their precedences. could you please explain briefly or with some examples how/what is the precedence order for these F5 BIG-IP LB attributes? Virtual Server, Source/Secure NAT and Network Forwarding Virtual Server.
Also please advise if there is any other BIG-IP LTM attributes that work in precedence order that would need to know and understand.
I would really appreciate it for my knowledge. Thank you in advance for comments.

Carlande,
Destination listeners (host or network virtual server) has precedence over a Source listener (SNAT and NAT). See The order of precedence for local traffic object listeners
In regards standard or forwarding VSs then they have a precedence. See Order of precedence for virtual server matching Basically it's down to closest match on the destination e.g. a VS of 10.10.10.10/80 and a forwarder of 10.10.10.0/*, if a client accesses http://10.10.10.10 the first VS will match.
SNATs take precedence over NATs, and SNAT configured within a Virtual Server takes precedence over a seperate SNAT Listener.
Hope this helps.
