Not all health monitors are in drop-down list....?

Hello,

 

We are having an issue with finding all of our LTM monitors. On our one LTM in the DMZ, if you go to "Local Traffic", then "Monitors", and then hit the "create" button on the far right, it brings you to this screen:

 

Notice how all of the monitors are shown in the drop-down menu. However, when we go to our LTM for the internal network, we don't have all of the monitors in the drop-down list:

 

Both of the LTM's are running version BIG-IP 10.2.4 Build 732.0 Hotfix HF5. Does anyone know why one of the LTM's would have all of the monitors available in the drop down list and other LTM only has a few? We are setting up external monitors and we can't choose this option for the internal LTM! Very frustrating.

    do both BIG-IPs have the same type of license (Moduls and Add-Ons). Or does one of the systems have another type of license?

  • The DMZ LTM (one with more monitors) has this license:

     

     

    The internal LTM (one with less monitors) has this license:

     

     

    Obviously, these two license types are different but I don't know the difference. Can you explain?

  • Hi Bubble,

     

    well, on "internal LTM (one with less monitors)" you`ll see that the LTM License is optional. So you may confirm with your account person / internally whether the License for LTM was bought and just need to be re-licensed (check the base reg) or wether a standalone solution (i.e. ASM only) was bought.

     

    You´ve got the abillity to check your license/base reg key on the F5 Support Page and use the "Licensing Tools"
