New management interface on virtual edition
I have a few VE lab licenses and noticed in VMware I didn't have VXNET3 as the interface type for the management interface. So, given this was a lab environment I tried deleting it adding it again as VXNET3.
After the interface didn't show up (after issuing 'ifconfig' from the console) I tried the following:
touch /service/mcpd/forceload shutdown -r now
Still no joy... so as things stand, a management ip is configured is tmsh but not bound to an interface (as the interface isn't being detected by the system)
Does anyone have any ideas.. I could scrub the VM, redeploy the OVA but where's the fun in that?
On a side note, my license has become inoperative after removing and adding an interface
Thanks in advance
