New GTM's install configuration

I am working on standing up a new GTM pair at a new datacenter.

 

We currently have 2 existing GTM's at two different datacenters on the same grid (running an old 10.x version IOS). I wanted to stand up a new GTM at a new DC (upload newer IOS version of GTM- what is recommended stable version? The current LTM's are running 11.6.1, should the GTM run this version too?)

 

Also, what is the best way to configure the new GTM's, would it be SCF file copying from the existing GTM's? I would like to transfer the configuration zonerunner files to this GTM also.

    1. Make sure that the GTM's code version is equal or higher than the LTM.

       

    2. If you have an existing GTM and want to integrate a new GTM, follow this process.

       

    In your case, I would recommend that you upgrade the code version for the existing GTM to be equal or higher than the LTM and then integrate the new GTM that is running the same code version as the existing GTM.
