Sep 10, 2013By default a network virtual server will have port and address translation disabled, so the address that a browser points to will be an address that the client knows to pass through the BIG-IP (some address on the far side) based on routing configuration, and the source address will be the client's true source (but this can be changed with a SNAT). The BIG-IP will route traffic depending on its configuration - either to a pool of servers or to its own route.
