Network Failover Viprion2400
Hi I have 2nos of Viprion2400 with 2100single blade on each chassis. I have configured this device in 2 route domain route domin for my DMZ network.
My Node1 is connected to bridge agg14 and node2 is connected via bridge agg15 with 20G link to core switch and all the vlan are tagged on the trunk port on big ip side.
I have used network failover, Node 1 is primary and Node2 is a standby.
I have did all the failover test, like switch off Active node, and manually force active node to standby.
Now When I am disabling bridge agg14 for Acrive node, on my core switch.
I have used Vlan Failsafe and restart all,
Kindly let us know how to fix this issue.
Thanks is Advance. I have attached screen shot for the activity.

it might be me but i don't see the actual issue, and in any case the screenshot isn't shown for me.
could you explain a bit better what the issue is, you provide quite some background but nowhere the exact issue.

Thanks for quick replay, I have attached 4 screen shot. - you still dont explain the issue, i suspect something fails, but i see nothing really mentioned except "Now When I am disabling bridge agg14 for Acrive node, on my core switch." which seems to be missing the issue?

Hi, My Issue if I disable bridge aggregation for Active Node 1, it should fail over to node 2. Because in bridge aggregation i have combined fc1.2 and Fc.1.1 on Viprion System. and I am disabling these link. Idealy i am disconnection from Network Node 1., so in this case Node 2 will be active, and node 1 should go in standby mode, but that is not happening. After disabling Bridge Aggregation for node1 it is in Active mode but disconnected, and Node2 is also in active mode. which one is forwarding traffic to client. I think this should not be an issue, becasue Node1 is isolated from network, Pls corrrect.
over which interface do you sync? have you enabled VLAN failsafe correctly? does it show any message in the /var/log/ltm that indicate and attempt for failover?

I ran into this issue a few months ago. For the viprion systems, you should be using Fast Failover (HA groups) instead of vlan failsafe, as vlan failsafe does not work properly as of 11.3 with the viprion systems. Are you using Vcmp?
- that is interesting Nathan, is this just personal observation or is it confirmed by F5? is there a bug ID of SOL about it?

Me and a few other engineers here have tested it in the lab and it doesn't work, and I have been told that F5 knows it doesn't work and it may be addressed in future code versions.
