NETBIOS name rewrite

I am in need of the TCL command or an existing iRule that can take a non HTTP request, rather a standard server call, and take the netbios name and rewrite it to a different name.

 

 

For example:

 

 

For a file system call.... \\server1\directory1 ----> \\SERVER2\directory1

 

 

Any help is appreciated.

    You might be able to do this with an iRule, but I think it would be much simpler to configure this on the server(s) using a WINS alias and/or setting a registry key to tell the server to answer for server1 and server2:
