NimbostratusMonitor for streaming Flow
Hello, I have a Virtual Server that weighs (round robin) two wowza servers monitored with Tcp. My problem is that servers, which generate a streaming flow, being monitored with Tcp are up even though streaming is unavailable. This means that if one of the two servers is not generating streaming, it is not put down, and then the client pointing to the Vip can be directed to a server that is not generating the service you want. I would like to create a monitor that puts the server down when the member is not generating the streaming service. tanks

A TCP monitor will only complete a handshake with the pool member. There is no guarantee that the service is working, just that the F5 can talk with the server and that port is open.
You need to monitor at the application level. F5 has multiple built-in monitors that you can use. If there is no monitor for your type of application, you have the option to write an external monitor.
