Missing bigip-license file
I have a bigip LTM 1600 we have had in our test system that I do not think was ever activated. I am trying to do so now but the bigip.license file is not there. I would like to know how this can happen? I thought it would be there when starting up the system. Can anyone assist or provide insight to this.

Tim. I've not specifically seen that before but what happens if you access the bigip from the GUI? What's in the license section here? Do you have a ucs file in var/local/ucs folder you can restore or extract a license file from?

i might be lost but why don't you just re-activate it? so, you will get bigip.license from f5 licensing server.

I agree. What I was getting at by getting GUI access.

Thank You all for your answers, I found that I missed a step in the setup of the device and have now got it going. I was having a problem with the MGMT IP and once I got that resolved I was able to activate the license via the GUI. Cheers Tim
