NimbostratusMigrating of LTM objects between different HW platforms and software versions.
Hello,
I would like to ask if config files are very different between version 10.x and 11.x
we are going to migrate from old HW platform 1600 to new one and problem is that in the old LB we have 10x version software and in the new there is 11.5.2.
We cant do any upgrade or downgrade , so i was wondering if there is possible to just edit Bigip.conf file and copy paste : nodes, pools, Vips, irules, profiles from 10.x to 11.x.
I will be thankful for answer and other idea's as well.

it is a bit different, enough to prevent pure copy pasting. how many elements do you have to migrate?
arpydaysIf you can't do upgrade on the 1600 then I recommend doing it on a VM (see link), this will catch most syntax and functional changes to 11.x, if you are only using LTM then it will be easier but it's still not straightforward. I've been through this process for LTM related migrations from v10 legacy h/w to v11 Viprion.
