Microsoft Lync cannot connect when using F5 Network Access

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone knows what may cause the issue when the user connects with the network access, he cannot connect successfully with their lync account, they can ping the server but cannot connect to it. What adjustments do you thinks we need to do?

  • I'm by no means knowledgeable in regards to Lync, but I'm aware that Lync uses SIP and that SIP is a bit stupid in the same way as FTP in that it sends IP-addresses in the payload, so one question would be if you're applying SNAT on the Network Access configuration. Don't know if that is relevant or not for even connecting to the server but it might be a factor.
