NimbostratusMeaning of Active and new server connections on BIG-IP GUI
When I check the connections on the BIG-IP gui (Statistic --> Performance --> Connections), I see there are always 230 Active connections and 12 new server connections.
Most of the VS are offline and there is not traffic passed through load balancer. I though it should be around 0 connection since there is no traffic through LB. What is the meaning of active and new connections from BIG-IP gui?

Active Connections - Current Total Number of Connections.
New Connections - New Connections that were added since last sampling. F5 samples data within a time window and your F5 had new connections show up between the last sampling and current sampling.
I would check to make sure there really isn't any active VS before troubleshooting further.
