Management Console down but virtual servers still work.
Hi,
I have the next issue: I have 2 BigIP 6400 in HA, suddenly I receive a notification that the management/console IP went down, but I didn´t receive notifications reporting the Virtual Servers; when I try to connect to the web console it´s not available and the IPs don't response to a ping.
P.D. I'm miles away from the site.

if you loose connectivity to management, VS might continue to work, as TMM is another process. Do you have AOM or remote serial console access?

Thanks for your response amolari, unfortunately we don´t have AOM, but we've contacted a person on site who can help us, would it be enough with a restart?
To shut down BIG-IP platforms by using the LCD panel, perform the following procedure: 1.Press the X button, and then use the arrow keys to navigate to the System menu. 2.Press the Check button, and navigate to the Halt menu. 3.Press the Check button. 4.Press the Check button again at the confirmation screen. 5.Wait 30 seconds before turning off or restarting the machine.

Management IP and virtual servers run on different interfaces. If you know the Self IP on the device you may be able to connect to that IP to manage it temporarily.

Thank you Eric, I'll try it, I just have to find in my docs that IP. I'll let you know.

Hi, As Eric commented, we connected through the self IP. It seems that the problem is because changes in the switches, now we are checking it with the net administrator. Thanks all of you for your responses.
