malformed packet warning due to packet size

Hello,

I have a customer system that is a virtual F5 device. They are getting a strange error where it looks like the inside IP of the device is trying to connect to itself, and then they are getting a malformed packet warning in the log.

Could this be due to TCP re-transmit issues? Why would the device be trying to connect to itself?

Thanks! Jeff
