Lync 2013 F5 BIG IP 10.XX

Hi All-

 

we are facing issue while configuring Lync 2013 Access edge,AV and webconferancing on BIG IP 10.xx version.

 

we created manual rule for the Access, edge and web conferance

 

we are using two edge boxes with public IP

 

edge01

 

12.xx.xx.1

 

12.xx.xx.2 12.xx.xx.3

 

edge 02

 

12.xx.xx.4 12.xx.xx.5 12.xx.xx.6

 

external records Access 12.xx.xx.7, web 12.xx.xx.8 and A/V 12.xx.xx.9

 

if we try to connect externally, we will getting frequently disconnect to the lync client and presence unknown cannot Im, call or share anything.

 

IF we edge server public IP's it works rock solid.

 

I think it seems to be an F5 configuration issue, Please could you guys suggest on this.

    have you followed the lync 2013 implementation guide? i know this for version 11, but it would be your best guide from the f5 side. beyond that it will be quite difficult to troubleshooting a configuration as complex as lync without having full access to all f5 config, lync config and network design.

    I second this recommendation. It also might be useful to download a demo image of BIG-IP VE and the Lync 1.4.0 iApp template, then deploy the iApp template (https://devcentral.f5.com/s/articles/microsoft-lync-server-v140-iapp-template). The iApp can create over 500 objects depending on which services you're deploying, so it can help to compare its output with your manual configuration.
