LTM virtual server link disappeared
Hello friends,
So frustrated when I noticed this.
I have a LTM+GTM HA pair of BIG IP 11.2.1 boxes. I have three ISPs, so I have three LINKS as objects in the GTM module. I am load balancing inbound traffic across such ISPs; therefore, I have configured (on the LTM Module) one virtual server per ISP to allow access to some web sites from the Internet. Every time I configured a new virtual server with its corresponding Public IP, the LTM module linked the vserver with a previous configured GTM Link. As a result, I had the following for each virtual server depending on the link (please, do not take care the red diamond status):
But suddenly, the LINK disappeared from the configuration. Now, all my 102 virtual servers have no links associated. I am not sure about the impact of this. Now there is the word "None" instead of "/Common/Link_ISP1". Is that normal? How can I fix it? Why this happens? Where do I gather specific logs about this?
Thanks in advance.

any chance that you changed something in the config ? like some networking settings on the big-ip ?
I know this is old, but I seem to be running into this on 13.0.5. Did you ever figure out what the problem was?
If not, I will post back when we get this one figured out.
Wanted to post back... There was a bld core crash after loading a incorrectly formatted zone file which ended up have some negative effects to the namedb directory.
We needed to do a re-install the BIG-IP version to correct and make sure the zone file was correctly formatted.
Hope it helps someone out there.
Thanks!
