LTM, Device access - SSH and GUI failure

Hi, I have a LTM pair in HA mode. The Primary GUI give IIS error and the SSH gives connection error. I tried httpd restart and tomcat restart which did not help. As of now i login to standby unit and...

Hello Venkat,

I don't think it is possible to launch a manuel failover from the Standby unit.

You must be on the Active one to force to standby.

If you cannot access GUI nor SSH, if it is an appliance you have to take the hand on it directly using serial :

If it is a Virtual Edition you should access it from the "Console" from the hypervisor client.

Once you are connected to the "Active" device, force to standby using following command line and restart your BIG-IP. 

tmsh run /sys failover standby
