LTM 11.2.1 HA Group Failover
Hi,
I have recently configured HA group on couple of 2000s which are working on Active - Standby topology. I have 2 trunks in the HA group, Internal and External. Each trunk has 1 port with threshold of 0 and a weight of 10 on both systems. When I take down the external trunk on Primary Active system, it fails over and becomes Standby, which is fine as the Standby system responds to traffic request and the application stays up. As soon as the trunk recovers on the Primary (currently standby) system, it takes over and resumes Active status again. However it doesn't respond to traffic requests. I haven't set an Active bonus on either system.
Any comments anyone please ?
Thanks

Is that what you want to happen? If not then check Auto Failback on the traffic group.
As for the issue you've got. Could it be an ARP issue? Have you got MAC Masquerade configured? Might be an idea to do a tcpdump to see what's happening.

thanks for the reply, the issue was related to ARP and the gratuitous arp's not being processed. MAC Masquerade wasn't configured, I've configured it now and all is working well. thanks again
