Login using Encrypted Password
Hello Everyone,
When we create an local account in F5 , it's password is encrypted by F5 and stored .
With a GET Rest API , we can retrieve encrypted password .
is there any way where we can use this encrypted password to login F5 with the same account .
My requirement is mainly to Use encrypted for REST API calls to configure F5 not to login GUI.
keeping plain text password is risk .
If something like this available then please let know how to implement it and if not then how this can be achieved .
Thanks

No - you cannot use the encrypted password to login to the F5.
However, once you have logged in to iControl REST API, you can request a persistent authentication token to use for subsequent requests (until the token expires).
