Feb 05, 2012Logging non existing VSs/Pools
Hi All,
Some LTM boxes came under our team which are running 10.2.0.
One of these LTM still generating many many logs for some VSs/Pools which have been removed (not found logs).
It's LTM pair (Active-Standby), so I tried to fix it on the standby box and it's fixed only by rebooting the standby box.
Now, coming to the active box which still has this issue. I uploaded qkview file to iHealth and this is my observation.
- At iHealth /config/bigip.conf file contains these removed VSs/Pools.
- From BIG-IP CLI, "more /config/bigip.conf" is not showing these VSs/Pools configuration.
So, is there any way to fix this issue without interrupting live services as I do believe that currently generated logs might affect the box performance.
Thanks in advance and looking forward to your kind help.
BR,
Abdul

in case if running configuration does not match saved configuration, there is a way to force reloading saved configuration. anyway, it will interrupt traffic.

Thanks a lot nitass for quick response.
In iHealth, Generation Date is showing Apr 10 2011, while Extract date is Feb 5 2012.
Do you have any comment for the above, or should I go with the reloading Config.
Thanks again nitass

In iHealth, Generation Date is showing Apr 10 2011, while Extract date is Feb 5 2012.the generation date is quite old. if you have changed some configuration after Apr 10, 2011, it won't show up in qkview/ihealth.
Do you have any comment for the above, or should I go with the reloading Config.if you are able to reload configuration (sol3030) or reboot the box, i believe it will fix the issue. anyway, it will interrupt traffic anyway.
by the way, since it is ha pair, not sure if you failover to the peer unit, reload/reboot and failback, will it make less interruption? - Gbps_31870
