Reminder: MFA now required to log in to DevCentral
Hey everyone,
We are now requiring multi-factor authentication (MFA) to log in to all DevCentral accounts in order to better ensure secure interactions on DevCentral. Please read our INITIAL ANNOUNCEMENT HERE.
Logging in to F5 accounts – including DevCentral - now requires multi-factor authentication. You will be prompted to enroll with one (or more) of the following authentication methods:
- Google Authenticator
- Email Factor Enrollment
To access your account going forward, enter your usual username and password. You will then be asked to enter the verification code generated by your smartphone or sent to your email as a secondary authentication factor.
signed up this afternoon with the app, very smooth proces.

Hello, why are you not implementing the same googleauth feature to authenticate with MFA on BigIP devices ? It would cost nothing and add a tremendous security boost ...
What is the official way to add MFA to bigip authentication ?
Thanks
CyrilMjt sounds like an easy change but probably isn't. there is difference between a "normal" website like this, which can hook into the broader F5 authentication setup then an appliance which also supports totally not web related authentication methods. Next to that the proces of getting something fundamental like this added is gonna take time.
There are several ways to add MFA to the F5 BIG-IP appliance, you could handle it on the RADIUS or TACACS server if those allow it. Another way is to use the APM module for the admin authentication.
There is no one way, but you have options.
