load balancing tomcat/jboss

Hi,   we find our current mod_jk loadbalancing of Apache->tomcat/jboss to be deficient in several areas, so I'm looking to scope out solving this with our BigIPs     I'd be interested to hear...

Hi Fletcher,

 

 

You can easily have the BIG-IP check the health of the nodes using custom HTTP monitors which make a specific request and look for specific content in the response. You can also disable nodes for maintenance and drain off connections in multiple ways. None of this requires iRules.
