Load Balancing LDAP servers

Hi All -

I have a cluster of LDAP servers that I currently have in a pool - with source persistence enabled. The problem is that the majority of requests come from one particular server, and therefore there really isn't any balancing happening. I have two questions:

1. Do LDAP requests require persistence?

2. If yes to the above (which I suspect), does anyone know of a good rule to leverage to balance these requests a little better?

Thanks-

Have you tried using a different type of persistence? There are several different ways that you can build persistence other than just source address. This would allow the different requests to be load balanced, and still maintain persistence once the connection is established.

You can read about some of them in the manual here: Click here
