Load Balancing Concepts

I want to understand load balancer terminology better, for example I don't quite get the following terms;

 

selfip, node,pool, load balancing pool, virtualserver,virtualnode, node, pool member, VLAN

 

 

Is there a good document that explains these?( Other than SDK documentation)

 

An example or something graphical that would contain most of these terms would help a lot.
