Limited number of monitor types available for node

So I've got two F5 cirtual appliances (BIG-IP 12.0.0) For part of the setup, I need to connect to servers over HTTP. So I need to monitor the nodes on HTTP. So in the config for some of the nodes, I selected "Node specific" and there was no http available, I created a custom monitor for HTTP and was able to add that.

 

On the second F5 though, neither the default HTTP check or the custom one I created is available. They're not available to add to the default monitor either.

 

Any suggestions?

    Any default monitors which utilize a port number are not available for nodes since nodes are defined by IP address only and have no port setting. Use the alias service port settings in custom monitors to explicitiy define a port number then you can assign that monitor to a node.

     

    Are the two BIG-IPs an HA pair? Has the config been synchronized? Is your custom monitor available for a pool?
