LDAP communication issue

Hi,

 

We are seeing issue with our LDAP communication. ITIM is syncing data between LDAP and Database, after some time we are seeing communication failure between ITIM and LDAP communication. We checked with IBM and they suggested this may be issue with load balancer. Currently in our infra we have F5 LTM and for LDAP we have VIP on that F5. So ITIM is communication with LDAP VIP. I checked some forum and there are suggestion to increase timeout...

 

Any suggestion?

    what kind of suggestions are you looking for?

     

    for trouble shooting you could see if you can for a while bypass the LTM and see if the problem goes way.

     

    if you wonder if the time out is going to help i would say try it and see if it helps.

     

    if you want to be more sure this is the issue then you should consider tcpdump and checking that after the issue occurs.

    After changing VIP to Fast L4 we are no more seeing reset issue. Thanks everyone for help.
