what kind of suggestions are you looking for?

 

for trouble shooting you could see if you can for a while bypass the LTM and see if the problem goes way.

 

if you wonder if the time out is going to help i would say try it and see if it helps.

 

if you want to be more sure this is the issue then you should consider tcpdump and checking that after the issue occurs.
