Kown Issue - Clarification on Versions Fixed
I'm getting conflicting info on how this should be interpreted.
For example - Take this known issue - https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/15000/900/sol15988.html
It says It affects 11.6.0, 11.5.1, and 11.5.0 -
The status then says Versions Fixed - 11.5.1, HF6 - Does that mean it's the only version that is fixed.. ie 11.5.1 - Hf6 and above in 11.5.1 only.. or does it also include all subsequent software releases, like 11.6x ?
Thanks!

I would assume the bug is not fixed in 11.6.0 (HF3 level) as it is different minor sw branch, so obviously having different code base, and the bug sol above specifically states 11.6.0 as affected version.
SOL15175: BIG-IP 11.5.1 cumulative hotfix lists the bug ID 464163 fixed in 11.5.1HF6.
If you look at SOL 15659: 11.6.0 cumulative hotfix, the fix list does not include ID 464163 (your known issue). However, the known issues in 11.6.0 release notes, does not list it either, ..
You can open a support case to clarify the particular bug ID and v 11.6.0 status.
THi, I'm assuming it's not fixed either, but as you stated there are many instances where the known issue release notes don't state it. Definitive answers would be nice, vs. assuming...
Thanks for chiming in!

Yes, just assuming, but to get (more) definite answer you should ask F5 (pun intended;o) support.
The best way is just to open a support case. They can track the status of the bug ID from their bugzilla and see what is its status re 11.6.0 and if fixed on which build of the sw. And when there is an open case, they need to get it closed - so to get you an answer ;o)
