Kernel Warning Error message
Hi Guys,
I am getting the below error message continuously. Kernel.Warning 172.16.12.246 Jan 29 03:00:25 PUB-LB02 warning kernel: bad magic number for tty struct (188:0) in tty_pol I have checked the memory no files are over loaded but this message continuously pops up in the log.
Kindly advice if anybody has encountered this error message before or advice what needs to be checked

i was told it is due to bug 407028 (even your error message is not same as in sol). rebooting unit is workaround.

Hi Nitass,
I have tried rebooting the box as well but of no use event the error message also doesn't match so i dont think it is the known issue of 208 days. Is there anything i can check for

I have tried rebooting the box as well
if the warning message persists after rebooting, i think you may have to open a support case.

Which hardware platform is it and which version of BIG-IP are you running? Do you have a USB drive plugged in?

If it's the "208.5 days" issue, you might actually need to power-cycle the device instead of doing a software reboot.
