NimbostratusJBoss EAP 6 Slow VS Performance -LTM
Hello,
Trying to set up LTM VS with JBoss EAP 6 (SSL Offloading) and when I'm accessing web site trough F5 I have delay loading page about 5-10 Seconds and Content of the webpage is not loaded correctly. If accessing directly page loads fast and everything is ok. Tried provisioning VS with HTTP Template , manually creating VS, different TCP profiles but results are same. On screenshot https://imgur.com/a/Ng2ej you can see delay in Fidler capture. What am I missing, what is correct way to publish Jboss ? Do I need to use Apache in the middle of Jboss and F5 ? I can't comment about how you deploy Jboss in your servers, but I can provide some guidance about to troubleshoot on the F5 device.
You reported 2 problems, slow page load and changes in content.
Slow page: You need to capture the traffic in the F5, and check if they delay is added by the F5. Basically, this packet from the server entered in the F5 and left x seconds after. Have a look in the tcpdump command to check that:

Changes in content:
Beside the tcpdump, you need to run the ssldump to decrypt the traffic between the client and F5. You want to compare the content sent by the server with the content sent by the F5 to the client. Have a look at the ssldump command to check that:

If F5 is the cause of the problem, please provide more information, and I can advise in what look next.
