Issue with Virtual Servers in HA Deployment
Hi Community, We have two BIG-IP 4000 appliance in HA Deployment (Active/StandBy).
When the firs F5 is active, all the Virtual Servers works fine but when the other F5 becomes to be active, some Virtual Servers dont work. We tried 03 VS and one of these work and the other two not.
The weird here is that some VS works and others do not.
Has anyone passed these? Any recommendations for analysis?
Many Thanks

A couple of things come to mind - they're pretty simple but often the culprits:
- Is the one VS that works using SNAT while the others are not? It could be that your back end servers are not configured to use BIG-IP as their default gateway.
- If your back end servers are configured to use BIG-IP as their default gateway, check to make sure the default gateway configuration is using one of the BIG-IP systems' floating self IP addresses, rather than a static (non-floating) self IP address.

Are the pools marked as up on both F5 devices?

After failover, run "bigtop" on the standby device to see if there are any client connections that still end up there.

have you run a packet capture (tcpdump) to see what is happening at the network layer? Are you using MAC masquerading on the traffic group?
