Issue : Cannot access config mode via cli from TMSH ..
Guys ; Very mundane question / issue I cannot access config prompt from TMSH -
Logging into LTM defaults to TMSH prompt as expected / desired.
When I type in exit it does not drop me to config prompt - gives me "Use "quit" to end the current session" If I type quit I get logged out.
CTRL Z also does not work .. Ver = BIG-IP 11.6.0 Build 5.0.429 Hotfix HF5
Is this a known bug / is there something I am unaware of in the configuration etc ... ?
Thanks !
Have you tried "run util bash" root@(INDIA-ATM-GTM-SGDC)(cfg-sync Changes Pending)(Standby)(/Common)(tmos) root@(INDIA-ATM-GTM-SGDC)(cfg-sync Changes Pending)(Standby)(/Common)(tmos) root@(INDIA-ATM-GTM-SGDC)(cfg-sync Changes Pending)(Standby)(/Common)(tmos) run util bash <---< [root@INDIA-ATM-GTM-SGDC:Standby:Changes Pending] config [root@INDIA-ATM-GTM-SGDC:Standby:Changes Pending] config

Type bash at tmsh prompt, assuming this is what you mean by config prompt.

Yeah use run util bash sometimes the "quit" or "q" doesn't work and you get logged off of f5 LB directly, I didn't dig in to it for the reason but you can always use "run util bash".
