AltostratusIs it possible to create a dependency?
What we would like to do is create a dependency for pool A so that if pool B is down, the bigip will mark pool A as down too.
Is this possible to do with an irule?
Should we be looking at another solution for this?

I'd use the iControl API for this

You could create a custom monitor that checked for the availability of the service of pool b. Assign the monitor to pool A. If the service for pool b fails then pool a will be marked down.
Bob_Vance_75936Custom monitor was the easiest to do, aliasing the monitor to the VIP that I wanted to be dependent on. Thanks for the replies.
