Is it possible to create a dependency?

What we would like to do is create a dependency for pool A so that if pool B is down, the bigip will mark pool A as down too.     Is this possible to do with an irule?     Should we be loo...

Custom monitor was the easiest to do, aliasing the monitor to the VIP that I wanted to be dependent on. Thanks for the replies.
