iRules for XML
Hi,
This following link says: "NOTE: The features contained in this namespace require an EA (Early Access) license to be accessed". https://devcentral.f5.com/wiki/iRules.XML.ashx
I'd like to know why XML irules has to use EA? I feel these commands are not so young. However I've not checked all commands of that. Does this mean some iRules commands is not supported in current release OS version (v11.5.0)?

You, me, and probably a bazillion others, but I digress. A long time ago (somewhere in v9 I believe) F5 experimented with a set of XML manipulation commands in iRules. The Early Access license was put in place as a sort of beta test option. Unfortunately the bulk of the XML commands died after the EA period and we were left with the single XML_CONTENT_BASED_ROUTING (XMLCBR) event and two commands. It's not the nirvana we all surely want, but it's still very useful. So no, only the XMLCBR event is available in 11.5. Everything else was deprecated.

Yeah... I was gutted when they removed it. We'd had a request to dispatch based on some XML tokens... I'd literally just been reading about the XML and EA license. Attempted to get one, and it'd been withdrawn... Sob... Had to resort to string matching in the end...

Hi, Sadly I did realize that F5 did stop supporting XML Based irule parsing items. Would be glad to get that back, since this is required in lots of Projects. Kind Regards
