IP Directed Broadcast for Wake on LAN

Hi,

 

Is it possible to enable IP directed broadcast (and with ACL) as per a Cisco L3 Switch/router to enable Wake on LAN to operate?

 

We have a WOL server behind F5 with AFM.

    It's been two weeks since I posted and no replies! - Please could someone confirm WOL is not possible behind F5.

    if you want to be sure, contact F5 support. this is a community based effort, you need to be somewhat lucky with niche questions like this, good chance no one who is looking now encountered this situation before.

     

    generalizing i don't expect it to be possible, something like DHCP forwarding (same same but different) was added a few version back as a specific feature. so this probably requires code changes also.

     

    if you plan on NOT buying quite some F5 equipment if this isn't added then you should certainly talk your F5 sales contacts to see if it can be added ;)
